Domain, hosting & renewal policy (draft)
How domain registration, hosting, HTTPS and annual renewals work for MBEE Express websites, and who owns what.
This page is a working draft written to describe how MBEE Technologies intends to operate. It has not yet been reviewed or approved by a qualified Kenyan lawyer and must be before launch. Items that need verification are listed at the end.
Your domain
Express packages include one available, standard-price .co.ke domain for the first registration year, registered in your name as registrant. Availability is confirmed with the registry; until then your order shows the domain as unverified. Registry rules and any identity or documentation requirements apply.
Ownership and transfer
You own the domain. We can administer it for you while you use our hosting, and we will provide transfer details if you ask.
Hosting
Express sites are hosted as managed static sites with HTTPS, subject to acceptable-use terms. HTTPS is shown as active only once it is actually provisioned.
Renewals
Renewal covers domain renewal, hosting, HTTPS and basic infrastructure support. We notify you 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before the due date. If costs change we give at least 60 days’ written notice and you can decline and transfer your domain. Expiry and grace periods follow the registry’s rules.
What renewal does not include
Unlimited edits, new pages, redesigns, ecommerce or 24/7 bespoke support. These are available as itemised extras.
